Delete your data

Updated 14 October 2026

Glidedown has no account, and we have no server for it. Your plan and logs are on your phone, so you delete them in the app.

Delete everything in the app

  1. Open Glidedown and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
  2. Tap Data & privacy, then Delete all data.
  3. Type DELETE and tap Delete. In Norwegian the word is SLETT, in Swedish RADERA.

This can't be undone. The app then starts again from the first screen.

What it deletes

  • your plan, logs, nicotine-free days, SOS history and milestones;
  • your settings, your choices for usage stats and crash reports, and the install campaign fields if the app kept them;
  • scheduled reminders and the widget's data;
  • the analytics data on your phone, which is reset, and crash reports not yet sent;
  • the Firebase installation ID. This step needs an internet connection: if your phone is offline, the ID stays until you delete again while online or uninstall the app.

If the app is closed before it finishes, the next start deletes your plan, logs and settings first, before anything else, and turns usage stats and crash reports off. The Firebase installation ID then stays until you delete again while online. If you turn usage stats on again afterwards, the install campaign is read again from Google Play.

Uninstalling or clearing storage

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, also removes everything on the phone.

If Android backup was on, a copy of your plan, logs and settings may stay in your phone's backup in your Google account until Android replaces it with a newer backup, or until you delete that backup.

What Delete all data doesn't remove

  • Your Google Play purchase. Deleting your data doesn't cancel a subscription. Manage it in Google Play subscriptions.
  • Your purchase record at RevenueCat (an anonymous ID and the purchase token) is not removed by this button. Email support@glidedown.app with the Purchase ID from Settings → Data & privacy, and we delete it within 30 days. Your Google Play purchase is not affected.
  • The anonymous ID in Google Block Store. When you have a purchase, RevenueCat's code keeps a copy of the anonymous ID in Google Block Store on your Google account, so a purchase can be restored on a new phone. The button leaves it there.
  • Usage stats already sent. After the reset they can't be linked to your phone any more, and Google Analytics deletes them when the retention period ends.
  • Crash reports already sent. They are deleted after 90 days.
  • Google Play's own records of your purchases, which Google keeps under its own terms.

Ask us by email

Email support@glidedown.app with your Purchase ID. You find it in Settings → Data & privacy → Purchase ID, where you can tap Copy. We delete your purchase record at RevenueCat within 30 days and confirm by email.

If you have already uninstalled the app, send the order number from your Google Play receipt instead, and we will look for the record.

We never ask for your password, and you don't need to send anything else.

Only want to stop usage stats or crash reports?

Turn off Share usage stats or Crash reports in Settings → Data & privacy. Your plan and logs stay. See the privacy policy for what each one sends.
